COVID-19 AND NURSING HOME FAILURES

Sadly, and with tragic consequences, systematic and epic failures were exposed as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  These failures too frequently lead to unnecessary harm and death.  Rather than address these problems head-on, these epic failures were skirted aside, and the focus became unproved and dangerous “cures”.

Chief among them was the wanton use of hydroxychloroquine.  Hydroxychloroquine is a drug used to treat certain autoimmune diseases.  For some, It was haphazardly used, and with deadly consequences.

Reported by several news organizations, hydroxychloroquine was also used in certain New York State run nursing homes.  We represent one of this families and were interviewed in this regard by WPIX news.  Here is the story.
